Telling stories

Since walking through the door of the camera club at school I've always been fascinated by the science and the magic of photography.

For years I told stories a different way — as a journalist, working my way up through local papers to become editor of The Hemel Hempstead Gazette and then a national broadsheet. That background shapes everything I do with a camera. I don't just take photographs — I think about narrative, context and what a picture needs to say.

Over 20 years ago I made photography my full-time career, and I haven't looked back.

Since then I've photographed The Queen, a wide range of celebrities and public figures, and worked with hundreds of businesses across the UK. My work has appeared in local and national magazines, newspapers and websites. I've shot in factories, boardrooms, sporting arenas, health spas, catwalks and the Palace of Westminster.

Why work with me?

I'm based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, with easy access to London, Oxford and the M25, M1 and M40. I regularly shoot across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London, and take on projects nationwide.

I'm fully DBS checked and experienced working with people of all ages and abilities. I hold full public liability insurance — documentation available on request.

I work with a wide range of clients including businesses, charities, PR firms, national publications and public sector organisations. I'm fast, creative and easy to work with — and I'm particularly good at putting people at ease in front of the camera.
